In addition to donations, there are several ways the community can contribute to Give Hastings Day. Proceeds from these events will be donated to the “Support Them All Fund” which is split between all Give Day participants:

Now through Sunday, April 28: Round-up your checkout total or make a $1/$5 donation at Russ’s Market and Allen’s Food Mart in Hastings.
Monday,  April 22: Coach’s Corner will donate $0.05 cents per gallon of gas sold.
Monday, April 22 – Thursday, April 25 is Restaurant Week. This new event partners with Hastings restaurants and coffee shops who will donate a portion of sales on select dates to Give Day. Participating restaurants include:
Monday, April 22: Baristas (all day)
Monday, April 22: Pizza Hut (5-9 pm delivery, carry-out, dine in. Must mention Give Day.)
Tuesday, April 23: Perkins (all day)
Wednesday, April 24: Runza (all day at all three locations)
Wednesday, April 24: Freddy’s (4-8 pm)
Thursday, April 25: Frahm Bar (all day)
Thursday, April 25: Rivals (5-8 pm)

“Give Hastings Day is more than a day to donate to local nonprofit organizations,” said Dan Peters, executive director of the Hastings Community Foundation, who hosts Give Hastings Day. “Give Day really is an opportunity for the community to learn about, celebrate, and honor the tremendous work being done by great people and great organizations. From Hastings, to Juniata, to Kenesaw, and Roseland, these organizations are serving our community and neighbors every day.”

The Give Hastings Day committee will again host Give Day Headquarters at the Lark on May 2nd. In addition to being a destination to drop off a gift and celebrate progress, Give Day Headquarters will feature a children’s coloring contest, meals, Business After Hours, and live music from Formerly Three. All events are open to the public.

The leaderboard and fundraising totals for Give Hastings Day will be available on Thursday, May 2nd. The event will conclude that day at 11:59 pm that same day. Checks payable to the Hastings Community Foundation can be sent or delivered to their office at 800 W. 3rd St., Suite 232, Hastings, NE 68901.

“We hope Give Day makes giving and philanthropy easy,” said Peters. “You can donate to any combination of nonprofits all with one simple transaction. Thanks to support from sponsors, every single donation, no matter the amount, helps your favorite nonprofit access bonus dollars and other prize money.”
